CNN Heroes

Looking to honor those individuals who make extraordinary contributions in their communities, the CNN Heroes program was started in 2007. Each year the televised program honors 10 recipients with one top recipient being named the CNN Hero of the Year. Activists, philanthropists, and social workers often grace this list of truly great people.
