NBA All-Star Game
Sit courtside as you watch all the big names in the NBA battle it out right in front of you at the NBA All-Star Game. It’s East vs. West as the two NBA conferences send their best 12 players to the court. The starting line-ups for each team are chosen by a combination of fan, player and media voting while reserves are chosen by head coaches from their own conferences. The game is played under standard NBA rules but player selection can lead to some notable differences, such as in 2007 when Kobe Bryant started the game as a point guard despite his typical position as shooting guard. Because the game has no ranking consequences, gameplay often includes spectacular stunts, such as alley oops and slam dunks while defensive play is limited. Half time typically includes musical performances by popular recording artists. Recent performers include Beyoncé, John Legend, Kendrick Lamar, Ariana Grande, and Elton John.
